Tutorial
cPanel for beginners.
cPanel has dozens of icons. You'll regularly use about five of them — here's what each one actually does.
Files
File Manager
Upload, edit and organize your site's files directly in the browser — no FTP client required.
Data
MySQL Databases & phpMyAdmin
Create databases for WordPress or a custom app, and browse tables directly through phpMyAdmin.
Apps
Softaculous Apps Installer
One-click installs for WordPress, Joomla, Drupal and more — handles the database setup for you.
Security
SSL/TLS Status
Issue and monitor free SSL certificates for every domain and subdomain on your account.
Email Accounts
Set up inboxes on your own domain — available from the Starter plan and up.
Automation
Cron Jobs
Schedule scripts to run automatically — backups, cleanup tasks, or scheduled emails.
First five minutes
What to do the moment you log in
Check your domain is attached
Confirm your subdomain or connected domain shows under Domains before doing anything else.
Issue your SSL certificate
Do this early — it can take a short while to activate after your domain resolves.
Decide: upload files or install an app
Static site or custom code → File Manager. WordPress or similar → Softaculous.
